Coastal Signs Plus designed, fabricated, and installed a custom internally illuminated monument sign for San Diego Post-Acute Center (SDPAC) in El Cajon. The new signage provides the healthcare facility with a clear, professional street presence while improving identification for patients, families, visitors, and staff arriving during both daytime and evening hours.
Custom Illuminated Monument Sign
The monument was fabricated as a cohesive architectural sign incorporating the SDPAC logo, facility name, and street address into a single structure. Internal illumination provides clear and consistent visibility after dark, while the dimensional construction and branded finish create a polished appearance during the day.
The lower address section prominently displays 1201 S. Orange Ave., providing an additional wayfinding element for visitors approaching the facility.

Custom Two-Color Paint Finish
CS+ finished the monument using a two-color paint treatment coordinated with SDPAC’s blue brand palette. The contrasting sections visually separate the primary facility identification from the address while maintaining a consistent overall design.
The exterior-grade painted finish was selected to provide lasting color and durability in an outdoor environment.
New Concrete Footing & Installation
The project also included construction of a new concrete footing specifically for the monument sign. Rather than adapting the new signage to an existing foundation, the installation allowed the sign to be securely positioned at the property for strong visibility from the surrounding roadway.
From fabrication and finishing through foundation work and final installation, CS+ managed the complete signage project to create a durable, highly visible identification system for the property.
The finished monument gives San Diego Post-Acute Center a recognizable and professional presence along S. Orange Avenue, combining illuminated branding, address identification, custom fabrication, and structural installation into one cohesive sign.
