Coastal Signs Plus had the honor of creating a custom signage package for Naval Air Weapons Station (NAWS) China Lake. This facility is the largest landholding owned by the Navy. It plays a crucial role in research, development, acquisition, testing, and evaluation (RDAT&E) on a global scale. Situated in the Western Mojave Desert, 150 miles north of Los Angeles, the base covers over 1.1 million acres. This area is larger than the state of Rhode Island. It includes two major test ranges. Additionally, it has extensive operational facilities.

Monument Sign: Precision-Built for a High-Security Military Installation

CS+ designed and fabricated a custom aluminum monument sign engineered for durability in the extreme desert climate. The monument features:

• Front and halo-illuminated logo, creating a striking visual presence day and night
• Push-thru proud lettering for sharp dimensional clarity and long-term performance
• A fabrication approach tailored for security, longevity, and ease of maintenance

This sign acts as a clear identifier for one of the Navy’s key operational sites. It reflects the installation’s identity and the professionalism of its mission.

Interior Graphics & Wall Wraps: Functional, Durable, and Mission-Aligned

Inside the facility, Coastal Signs Plus, Inc. installed custom 3M printed wall wraps. These wraps are designed to endure heavy use while adding color, wayfinding, and visual cohesion to the interior corridors.
These installations were paired with:

• Router-cut, painted acrylic FCO numbers for room identification
• Durable finishes engineered for high-traffic military environments
• Clean, modern typography that enhances functionality across the base

This combination of wall graphics and dimensional signage helps unify the facility while delivering clarity and long-term performance within a demanding operational setting.
