Coastal Signs Plus delivered a comprehensive, multi-layered signage and fabrication package for Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas, a luxury desert resort set across more than 40 acres between Camelback and Mummy Mountains.
The project required a seamless blend of architectural integration, high-end finishes, and durable materials suited for a premium hospitality environment.

Project Highlights

Dimensional Acrylic Building Signage
Custom laser-cut ½” thick acrylic lettering was fabricated and finished with Matthews automotive-grade paint, precisely color-matched to the building façade for a clean, monochromatic aesthetic.
Each element was stud-mounted through the wall system, ensuring long-term structural integrity while maintaining a refined, hardware-free appearance.

Halo-Illuminated Channel Letter Signage
The resort’s primary illuminated signage features reverse-pan, halo-illuminated channel letters with warm white LED lighting, creating a soft, upscale glow that enhances nighttime visibility without overpowering the architecture.
These letters are mounted on an oversized laser-cut backer panel, painted to match the structure, allowing for a seamless, integrated installation that feels like part of the building rather than an applied element.

Corten Steel Monument Signage System
CS+ fabricated a series of large-format monument signs (160” W x 120” H) constructed from corten steel, delivering a bold, architectural presence at key locations throughout the property.

These monuments feature:

• Laser-cut corten steel panels with stud-mounted acrylic lettering
• Custom tenant panels finished with Matthews automotive paint using CNC-cut stencils for precise logo application
• A robust internal framework of aluminum tubing and angle, engineered to sleeve over existing structures
• Concealed mounting systems for a clean, hardware-free front face

Additional smaller monument signs were produced using the same corten construction, paired with fabricated aluminum cabinet elements for consistency across the site.

Custom Directional & Wayfinding Signage
All directional signage throughout the resort was CNC-engraved and paint-filled, ensuring durability and long-term readability.
Panels were formed using a specialized rolling process to achieve a subtle curved “potato chip” profile, then finished with a custom patina process to achieve a rich “Japanese Brown” tone that complements the desert landscape.

Additional features include:
