Coastal Signs Plus designed, permitted, and built a comprehensive sign program for Kearny Gateway Plaza in Kearny Mesa — a full repositioning of the center that started with a new logo and ended with a coordinated identity across every tenant storefront.
New Logo & Branding Guidelines
The project began upstream of the signs. CS+ developed a new logo and branding guideline for the plaza, which then drove every element that followed.
Two Pylon Sign Refaces
Both existing pylon structures were refaced to carry the new identity and give the center a clear presence from the street.
Tenant Sign Criteria
New criteria were written so that every tenant sign reinforces the center instead of competing with it — the difference between a plaza that looks managed and one that looks accidental.
Wayfinding Package
A small directional set completes the program and keeps circulation through the site legible.
