Coastal Signs Plus designed, fabricated, and installed a comprehensive wayfinding sign program for Anchor Health Properties at Chancellor Park Medical Campus in UTC, San Diego — replacing an aging, inconsistent sign package with a modern system that actually moves visitors through the campus.

Designed From the Ground Up
Chancellor Park arrived with a collection of old, decrepit signs that no longer served the campus. Rather than patch them, CS+ developed an entirely new wayfinding system — concept, design, fabrication, and installation handled in house.

• Full sign family designed from scratch, not adapted from a catalog
• Modern, polished visual language applied consistently across the campus
• Hierarchy built around how visitors actually arrive and navigate to suites

Vehicular & Pedestrian Directionals
A layered set of directional signs guides drivers from the street to parking, then hands pedestrians off to building entries and suite numbers.

• Entry monument and directional pylons carrying 4510 / 4520 building identity
• Valet, parking garage, and ambulance parking directionals
• Suite-level directories with clear arrow logic at each decision point

Building Identity & Interior Wayfinding
The program extends past the drive aisles to the buildings themselves and into the lobbies.

• Dimensional building numerals on the facades
• Curved column-mounted Main Lobby and Plaza Entrance signs
• Interior directional signage coordinated with the exterior sign family

Integrating With Existing Signage
A handful of larger existing signs were staying put, so the new system had to sit alongside them without looking bolted on.

• New design language developed to feel coherent with retained signage
• Material and color palette chosen to bridge old and new elements
• Result reads as one intentional program rather than two generations of signs
